Payment Methods

Payment can be made to the Society for subscriptions by several methods.  We cannot accept debit card payments.  If it is necessary to send cash then this should be by registered mail.

Cheques and Postal Orders
Payable to the Richard III Society and sent to:

Membership Department
Richard III Society

Cheques should be in pounds sterling.  However, if it is necessary to send a non-sterling cheques then the equivalent of £15.00 should be added to cover bank charges.

Online Payment
Payments online can only be processed through PayPal www.paypal.co.uk. We cannot accept credit card payments online and details of credit cards should not be sent to the Society by e-mail as it is not cost effective to buy-in to this method of payments.

Log on to your PayPal account and select the Send Money option. Then select 'Payment for Services' option and enter the Society's e-mail address which is ricardianfunds@yahoo.co.uk. Enter the amount to be paid and specify GBP sterling. N.B.  There is a 5% surcharge payable on PayPal transactions and members should calculate this and add it to their subscription rate and any overseas postal supplement.  Please complete the ‘Message to Recipient’ box and enter either ‘Subscription Renewal’ or 'New Membership' plus your name and, for renewals, your membership number if you have it to hand.  This is very important as it is the only way we can recognise the transaction and ensure your payment is credited to your account.

Standing Order
Standing order forms are available from the membership department and should be completed and forwarded to your bank direct.  Subscriptions are deducted on the 2nd October each year.  When subscriptions are increased it is necessary for members to let their banks know the new subscription rate.  With some banks, such as the Society’s own bank, HSBC, this can be done by telephone or online to the bank.  Alternatively new forms can be obtained from the membership department.  However, if a new form is completed please ensure your bank cancel the old instruction.
